You may like to hear that we now have a prototype of The Book. It has been produced apparently by scanning the print-out of the heavily edited version of your massive work of transcription plus numerous additional supplements and photographs. You’d recognize the text, it has been much smoothed out and many repetitions avoided – as well as bits of information added, but it is all based on your amazingly skilful and accurate work, so I thought you’d like to see her immediate reaction. She has often said what a wonderful job you made of it and how thankful and fortunate she is to have found you. The book she is so pleased with would have been totally impossible without your work.
